68 heavily-wooded acres
1,431 feet of Shiawassee River Frontage
402 feet on McCaslin Lake
What a perfect parcel for our glamping resort! This nearly 70-acre parcel has river frontage on the south and lake frontage on the north, providing perfect opportunities for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboats, and stand-up paddleboards, not to mention the views. The lake is a no-motor lake, which aligns well with the peace we want to provide our guests. A hill borders the river for its entire length on our property, and that will be the location of our premium sites. Initially, the road splitting the parcel was considered a downside, but now it is seen as an asset as it provides a pre-established means of access.
Seclusion from neighboring residents is fairly high, and a modest incorporation of dense evergreens, berms and/or fencing will help neighbors and guests not realize each other exists. A trail system is started and it appears that a total of over two miles of walking/snowshoeing trails can easily be established. Although the property is slightly further west than we initially planned, it is still in Genesee County and very easily accessible from Silver Lake Road. The Township of Argentine provides restaurants, markets, and gas stations within seconds of the resort, but not so close as to disrupt the peace and tranquility on the land. For guests needing more, downtown Linden and Fenton, are only 5 and 15 minutes away, respectively. It is truly the perfect glamping resort property!
