The Mitten Marketer!

If it wasn't enough to start a second business in the middle of trying to launch our resort, we decided to start a third new one this fall. While similar to The Glamping Store being born out of our experience pursuing Mitten Getaways, The Mitten Marketer came from a much different aspect of that pursuit.



While Mike has past experience designing websites and doing some social media marketing and newsletters, he's never done any of it to the extent done for Mitten Getaways. He's found that there are a lot of tools out there to help with these aspects, but the costs of them can quickly add up. And with trying to build an audience through a monthly newsletter, weekly blog and podcast, and multiple social media content across several channels, the time adds up too. In fact, in the beginning, it took several days per month for Mike to create and publish the digital content for Mitten Getaways. With the budget and time constraints, he wanted to create a system that allowed our business to be present, in front of our followers, with quality content, without breaking the bank or requiring so much time. Thankfully, he came up with a pretty good process to keeps costs and time low, which is a large part of what he's built into the services offered through the Mitten Marketer. The consultative service is meant to help other businesses like ours to “DIY” their marketing. Mike hopes to provide businesses with a process to plan and schedule a whole month of digital marketing content in less than a day for around $20 per month. But if that’s not a fit, there are more hands-on services including a first-time setup of the marketing for a business, or actually doing the marketing on a monthly subscription basis. There are other tools and aspects covered through the services of this business like direction on incorporation, getting a website domain, brand kit, graphic design, website creation, project management, online office tools, email marketing, merchandising, e-commerce, and payment processing. In addition to services, Mike also created a section of the site called "The Best Products", which are web-based programs and services he has personally used and recommends. Marketing doesn’t have to be hard, time consuming, expensive, or outsourced. It’d be awesome if there were businesses our readers knew of that could benefit from what we've learned pursuing Mitten Getaways. It certainly doesn't have to be a glamping business. These services are geared toward all businesses that market to their customers. We appreciate sharing the business with anyone who comes to mind.
